Condition of Brahmins today- the real Dalits.
ARE BRAHMINS THE DALITS OF TODAY??? LOOK WHAT THESE POLITICIANS HAVE MADE US??? At a time when the Congress government wants to raise the quota for Other Backward Classes to 49.5 per cent in private and public sectors, nobody talks about the plight of the upper castes. The public image of the Brahmins, for instance, is that of an affluent, pampered class. But is it so today? Doctors in arms:-There are 50 Sulabh Shauchalayas (public toilets) in Delhi; all of them are cleaned and looked after by Brahmins (this very welcome public institution was started by a Brahmin). A far cry from the elitist image that Brahmins have! There are five to six Brahmins manning each Shauchalaya. They came to Delhi eight to ten years back looking for a source of income, as they were a minority in most of their villages, where Dalits are in majority (60 per cent to 65 per cent). In most villages in UP and Bihar, Dalits have a union which helps them secure jobs in villages. At Ground Zero of the quota protests:-Did you know that you also stumble upon a number of Brahmins working as coolies at Delhi's railway stations? One of them, Kripa Shankar Sharma, says while his daughter is doing her Bachelors in Science he is not sure if she will secure a job. "Dalits often have five to six kids, but they are confident of placing them easily and well," he says. As a result, the Dalit population is increasing in villages. He adds: "Dalits are provided with housing, even their pigs have spaces; whereas there is no provision for gaushalas (cowsheds) for the cows of the Brahmins." The middle class deserves what it is gettinG:-You also find Brahmin rickshaw pullers in Delhi. 50 per cent of Patel Nagar's rickshaw pullers are Brahmins who like their brethren have moved to the city looking for jobs for lack of employment opportunities and poor education in their villages. Even after toiling the whole day, Vijay Pratap and Sidharth Tiwari, two Brahmin rickshaw pullers, say they are hardly able to make ends meet. These men make about Rs 100 to Rs 150 on an average every day from which they pay a daily rent of Rs 25 for their rickshaws and Rs 500 to Rs 600 towards the rent of their rooms which is shared by 3 to 4 people or their families. Did you also know that most rickshaw pullers in Banaras are Brahmins? Do our institutes connect with the real India? This reverse discrimination is also found in bureaucracy and politics. Most of the intellectual Brahmin Tamil class has emigrated outside Tamil Nadu. Only 5 seats out of 600 in the combined UP and Bihar assembly are held by Brahmins --the rest are in the hands of the Yadavs. 400,000 Brahmins of the Kashmir Valley, the once respected Kashmiri Pandits, now live as refugees in their own country, sometimes in refugee camps in Jammu and Delhi in appalling conditions. But who gives a damn about them? Their vote bank is negligible. And this is not limited to the North alone. 75 per cent of domestic help and cooks in Andhra Pradesh are Brahmins. A study of the Brahmin community in a district in Andhra Pradesh (Brahmins of India by J Radhakrishna, published by Chugh Publications) reveals that today all PUROHITS live below the poverty line. Eighty per cent of those surveyed stated that their poverty and traditional style of dress and hair (tuft) had made them the butt of ridicule. Financial constraints coupled with the existing system of reservations for the 'backward classes' prevented them from providing secular education to their children. Who are the real Dalits of India??? In fact, according to this study there has been an overall decline in the number of Brahmin students. With the average income of Brahmins being less than that of non-Brahmins, a high percentage of Brahmin students drop out at the intermediate level. In the 5 to 18 year age group, 44 per cent Brahmin students stopped education at the primary level and 36 per cent at the pre-matriculation level. The study also found that 55 per cent of all Brahmins lived below the poverty line --below a per capita income of Rs 650 a month. Since 45 per cent of the total population of India is officially stated to be below the poverty line it follows that the percentage of destitute Brahmins is 10 per cent higher than the all-India figure. There is no reason to believe that the condition of Brahmins in other parts of the country is different. In this connection it would be revealing to quote the per capita income of various communities as stated by the Karnataka [ Images ] finance minister in the state assembly: Christians Rs 1,562, Vokkaligas Rs 914, Muslims Rs 794, Scheduled castes Rs 680, Scheduled Tribes Rs 577 and Brahmins Rs 537. Appalling poverty compels many Brahmins to migrate to towns leading to spatial dispersal and consequent decline in their local influence and institutions. Brahmins initially turned to government jobs and modern occupations such as law and medicine. But preferential policies for the non-Brahmins have forced Brahmins to retreat in these spheres as well. Caste shouldn't overwrite merit:-According to the Andhra Pradesh study, the largest percentage of Brahmins today are employed as domestic servants. The unemployment rate among them is as high as 75 per cent. Seventy percent of Brahmins are still relying on their hereditary vocation. There are hundreds of families that are surviving on just Rs 500 per month as priests in various temples (Department of Endowments statistics). Priests are under tremendous difficulty today, sometimes even forced to beg for alms for survival. There are innumerable instances in which Brahmin priests who spent a lifetime studying Vedas are being ridiculed and disrespected. At Tamil Nadu's Ranganathaswamy Temple, a priest's monthly salary is Rs 300 (Census Department studies) and a daily allowance of one measure of rice. The government staff at the same temple receive Rs 2,500 plus per month. But these facts have not modified the priests' reputation as 'haves' and as 'exploiters.' The destitution of Hindu priests has moved none, not even the parties known for Hindu sympathy. The tragedy of modern India is that the combined votes of Dalits/OBC and Muslims are enough for any government to be elected. The Congress quickly cashed in on it after Independence, but probably no other government than Sonia Gandhi's has gone so far in shamelessly dividing Indian society for garnering votes. From the Indian Express: 'These measures will not achieve social justice' The Indian government gives Rs 1,000 crores (Rs 10 billion) for salaries of imams in mosques and Rs 200 crores (Rs 2 billion) as Haj subsidies. But no such help is available to Brahmins and upper castes. As a result, not only the Brahmins, but also some of the other upper castes in the lower middle class are suffering in silence today, seeing the minorities slowly taking control of their majority. How reservations fracture Hindu society Anti-Brahminism originated in, and still prospers in anti-Hindu circles. It is particularly welcome among Marxists, missionaries, Muslims, separatists and Christian-backed Dalit movements of different hues. When they attack Brahmins, their target is unmistakably Hinduism. So the question has to be asked: are the Brahmins of yesterday becoming the Dalits of today?

दुनिया में जापान ही एकमात्र ऐसा देश है जो
मुसलमानों को जापानी नागरिकता नहीं देता.
जापान में अब किसी भी मुस्लमान को स्थायी रूप से रहने कि इजाजत नहीं दी जाती है.
जापान में इस्लाम के प्रचार-प्रसार पर कड़ा प्रतिबन्ध है.
जापान के विश्वविधालयों में अरबी या अन्य इस्लामी राष्ट्रों कि भाषाए नहीं पढाई जाती.
जापान में अरबी भाषा में प्रकाशित कुरान आयत नहीं कि जा सकती (क्योंकि कुरान मे 85% हिंसा के संदेश है )
इस्लाम से दुरी
सरकारी आकड़ों के अनुसार, जापान में केवल दो लाख मुसलमान है. और ये भी वही है जिन्हें जापान सरकार ने नागरिकता प्रदान कि है.
हमारे पास मोमबत्तियाँ जलाने और सजावट के अलबवा कुछ एक्शन प्लान ही नहीं है
थोड़े दिन बाद हिन्दू कहेंगे गर्व से कहो हम हिजड़े है (after 1999)
हम जन्म से हिजड़े नहीं होते हमें बनाया जाता है हिजड़ा वेचारिक हिजड़ा और कर्म से हिजड़ा ... आज हर हिन्दू को घर और स्कूल, सब जगह यही सीख मिलती है। कि पढ़ो-लिखो, लड़ाई-झगड़े न करो। यदि कोई झगड़ा हो रहा हो, तो आँखें फेर लो। किसी दुर्बल बच्चे को कोई उद्दंड सताता हो, तो बीच में न पड़ो। तुम्हें भी कोई अपमानित करे, तो चुप रहो। क्योंकि तुम अच्छे बच्चे हो, जिसे पढ़-लिख कर डॉक्टर, इंजीनियर या व्यवसायी बनना है। इसलिए बदमाश लड़कों से मत उलझना। समय नष्ट होगा। इस प्रकार, किताबी जानकारी और सामाजिक कायरता का पाठ बचपन से ही सिखाया जाता है। बच्चे दुर्गा-पूजा करके भी नहीं करते! उन्हें कभी नहीं बताया जाता कि दैवी अवतारों तक को अस्त्र-शस्त्र की शिक्षा लेनी पड़ती थी। क्योंकि दुष्टों से रक्षा के लिए शक्ति-संधान अनिवार्य मानवीय स्थिति है। अपरिहार्य कर्तव्य है।
वर्तमान भारत में हिन्दू बच्चों को वास्तविक शक्ति-पूजा से प्लेग की तरह बचा कर रखा जाता है! फिर क्या होता है, यह पंजाब, बंगाल और कश्मीर के हश्र से देख सकते हैं। सत्तर साल पहले इन प्रदेशों में विद्वता, वकालत, अफसरी, बैंकिंग, पत्रकारिता, डॉक्टरी, इंजीनियरी, आदि तमाम सम्मानित पदों पर प्रायः हिन्दू ही आसीन थे। फिर एक दिन आया जब कुछ बदमाश बच्चों ने इन्हें सामूहिक रूप से मार, लताड़ और कान पकड़ कर बाहर भगा दिया। अन्य अत्याचारों की कथा इतनी लज्जाजनक है कि हिन्दुओं से भरा हुआ मीडिया उसे प्रकाशित करने में भी अच्छे बच्चों सा व्यवहार करता है। या गाँधीजी का बंदर बन जाता है।
तब अपने ही देश में अपमानित, बलात्कृत, विस्थापित, एकाकी हिन्दू को समझ नहीं आता कि कहाँ गड़बड़ी हुई? उस ने तो किसी का बुरा नहीं चाहा। उसने तो गाँधी की सीख मानकर दुष्टों, पापियों के प्रति भी प्रेम दिखाया। कुछ विशेष प्रकार के दगाबाजों, हत्यारों को भी ‘भाई’ समझा, जैसे गाँधीजी करते थे। तब क्या हुआ, कि उसे न दुनिया के मंच पर न्याय मिलता है, न अपने देश में? उलटे, दुष्ट दंबग बच्चे ही अदबो-इज्जत पाते हैं। प्रश्न मन में उठता है, किन्तु अच्छे बच्चे की तरह वह इस प्रश्न को भी खुल कर सामने नहीं रखता। उसे आभास है कि इससे बिगड़ैल बच्चे नाराज हो सकते हैं। कि ऐसा सवाल ही क्यों रखा? तब वह मन ही मन प्रार्थना करता हुआ किसी अवतार की प्रतीक्षा करने लगता है।
जो मुस्लिम नागरिक हैं वे जापानी भाषा बोलते है और जापानी भाषा में ही अपने सभी मजहबी व्यवहार करते है.
जापान विश्व का ऐसा देश है जहाँ मुस्लिम देशों के दूतावास न के बराबर है.
जापानी इस्लाम के प्रति कोई रूचि नहीं रखते. आज वहा जितने भी मुसलमान है वे विदेशी कंपनियों के कर्मचारी ही है.
परन्तु आज कोई बाहरी कंपनी अपनें यहाँ के मुस्लिम डाक्टर, इंजीनियर या प्रबंधक आदि को जापान में भेजती है तो जापान सरकार उन्हें जापान में प्रवेश कि अनुमति नहीं देती है.
अधिकतर जापानी कंपनियों ने अपने नियमों में यह स्पष्ट लिख दिया है कि कोई मुसलमान उनके यहाँ नौकरी के लिए आवेदन न करे.

सरकारी आकड़ों के अनुसार, जापान में केवल दो लाख मुसलमान है. और ये भी वही है जिन्हें जापान सरकार ने नागरिकता प्रदान कि है.

हम जन्म से हिजड़े नहीं होते हमें बनाया जाता है हिजड़ा वेचारिक हिजड़ा और कर्म से हिजड़ा ... आज हर हिन्दू को घर और स्कूल, सब जगह यही सीख मिलती है। कि पढ़ो-लिखो, लड़ाई-झगड़े न करो। यदि कोई झगड़ा हो रहा हो, तो आँखें फेर लो। किसी दुर्बल बच्चे को कोई उद्दंड सताता हो, तो बीच में न पड़ो। तुम्हें भी कोई अपमानित करे, तो चुप रहो। क्योंकि तुम अच्छे बच्चे हो, जिसे पढ़-लिख कर डॉक्टर, इंजीनियर या व्यवसायी बनना है। इसलिए बदमाश लड़कों से मत उलझना। समय नष्ट होगा। इस प्रकार, किताबी जानकारी और सामाजिक कायरता का पाठ बचपन से ही सिखाया जाता है। बच्चे दुर्गा-पूजा करके भी नहीं करते! उन्हें कभी नहीं बताया जाता कि दैवी अवतारों तक को अस्त्र-शस्त्र की शिक्षा लेनी पड़ती थी। क्योंकि दुष्टों से रक्षा के लिए शक्ति-संधान अनिवार्य मानवीय स्थिति है। अपरिहार्य कर्तव्य है।
वर्तमान भारत में हिन्दू बच्चों को वास्तविक शक्ति-पूजा से प्लेग की तरह बचा कर रखा जाता है! फिर क्या होता है, यह पंजाब, बंगाल और कश्मीर के हश्र से देख सकते हैं। सत्तर साल पहले इन प्रदेशों में विद्वता, वकालत, अफसरी, बैंकिंग, पत्रकारिता, डॉक्टरी, इंजीनियरी, आदि तमाम सम्मानित पदों पर प्रायः हिन्दू ही आसीन थे। फिर एक दिन आया जब कुछ बदमाश बच्चों ने इन्हें सामूहिक रूप से मार, लताड़ और कान पकड़ कर बाहर भगा दिया। अन्य अत्याचारों की कथा इतनी लज्जाजनक है कि हिन्दुओं से भरा हुआ मीडिया उसे प्रकाशित करने में भी अच्छे बच्चों सा व्यवहार करता है। या गाँधीजी का बंदर बन जाता है।
तब अपने ही देश में अपमानित, बलात्कृत, विस्थापित, एकाकी हिन्दू को समझ नहीं आता कि कहाँ गड़बड़ी हुई? उस ने तो किसी का बुरा नहीं चाहा। उसने तो गाँधी की सीख मानकर दुष्टों, पापियों के प्रति भी प्रेम दिखाया। कुछ विशेष प्रकार के दगाबाजों, हत्यारों को भी ‘भाई’ समझा, जैसे गाँधीजी करते थे। तब क्या हुआ, कि उसे न दुनिया के मंच पर न्याय मिलता है, न अपने देश में? उलटे, दुष्ट दंबग बच्चे ही अदबो-इज्जत पाते हैं। प्रश्न मन में उठता है, किन्तु अच्छे बच्चे की तरह वह इस प्रश्न को भी खुल कर सामने नहीं रखता। उसे आभास है कि इससे बिगड़ैल बच्चे नाराज हो सकते हैं। कि ऐसा सवाल ही क्यों रखा? तब वह मन ही मन प्रार्थना करता हुआ किसी अवतार की प्रतीक्षा करने लगता है।
जो मुस्लिम नागरिक हैं वे जापानी भाषा बोलते है और जापानी भाषा में ही अपने सभी मजहबी व्यवहार करते है.
जापान विश्व का ऐसा देश है जहाँ मुस्लिम देशों के दूतावास न के बराबर है.
जापानी इस्लाम के प्रति कोई रूचि नहीं रखते. आज वहा जितने भी मुसलमान है वे विदेशी कंपनियों के कर्मचारी ही है.
परन्तु आज कोई बाहरी कंपनी अपनें यहाँ के मुस्लिम डाक्टर, इंजीनियर या प्रबंधक आदि को जापान में भेजती है तो जापान सरकार उन्हें जापान में प्रवेश कि अनुमति नहीं देती है.
अधिकतर जापानी कंपनियों ने अपने नियमों में यह स्पष्ट लिख दिया है कि कोई मुसलमान उनके यहाँ नौकरी के लिए आवेदन न करे.

1) It helps the lower classes as they are poor, needy and backward but they keep their mouths shut about the creamy layers in SCs, STs and OBCs who are enjoying this system in the name of their castes.
2) They never tell the conditions of poors and needies in the upper caste; even they have not even little concern about them.
3) They argue that the lower caste peoples are/were tortured by the upper castes but at the same time they are reluctant to admit OBCs played also the same role on Dalits(SCs&STs),then why the general category specially the so called higher castes are becoming the sufferer.
4) The persons who argue that the lower caste should get opportunity at the sacrifice of the upper caste, I fear someday they will say upper caste has no right to study and no right to jobs.
5) The advocates who favours reservation always ask about the suffering of lower castes who suffered thousands of years ago. Is it not like that-someone had killed my grandfather and for that reason I should be given the opportunity to kill his grandson? It makes people vindictive spreading new generation govt. promoted hatred among different communities.
6)those who argue for reservation in higher education and jobs-don’t want to disclose that many seats and jobs as well as different posts remain unfilled as suitable nos. of reserved category candidates are not found even lowering the criteria.
7) They generally avoid the questions on quality rather stressing on quantity.
8)if you give 100% to general category students ,you will get success almost at the rate of 97% whether in case of quota students it is hard to find even 40%.but the fact is that the reservationists are not ready to accept.
9) every reservationist blames the upper castes for corruption, power hungriness, torturing the lower castes, selfishness but does not tell –how many lower caste peoples thought for the real prosperity of their community except Ambedkar, Periar etc, etc.-are the lower caste peoples who becomes good professionals by means of reservation, more responsible to their communities –are they less corrupted and more unselfish than their upper caste counterparts?
10) They don’t think about country’s progress, quality control traitoring with more qualified candidates.
11)the reservationists never admits that they are doing another wrong to eradicate the so called age old wrong. they never thinks about the depressions of more qualified candidates. they tell that the merit is a combination of good atmosphere, good living standards, good coaching etc.then why they are not providing those to the lower castes. if we admit the merit is the combination of those things only and for that reason there is no wrong to exclude the more qualifieds,should the quality be the secondary factor? Our many great personalities are from upper castes, our great scientists,poets,actors,politicians who fought against many odds are a big nos. from upper castes. can we today deny them and their qualities that they were from upper castes, privileged section? is it right anyway? If a student is meritorious and qualified, should he or she be restrained from taking admission telling about his or her social status?
12) they don’t understand that the right to appear for entrance examinations, right of getting a standard living standard combined with good study facilities in true sense, right to study, right to have basic education, getting job according to one’s ability are democratic and human rights, but right of getting chance by means of quota is not the democratic right, as it readily and surely sacks the others, right of merit which should be only the criteria for selection. If someone who is not well prepared, less qualified, less intelligent, gets lower marks and get admission in higher education and job areas is a great injustice done in the pure daylight.

Performance of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as Sansad.
जैसा कि आप सभी ज्ञात है कि हम अपने सांसद चुनते हैं ताकि जब भी संसद सत्र चल रहा हो वे वहाँ नियमित उपस्थिति रखें, अपने क्षेत्र की समस्याओं को संसद में प्रश्नों के जरिये उठाएं, तथा उन्हें मिलने वाली सांसद निधि की राशि का उपयोग गरीबों के हित में सही ढंग से करें। सूचना के अधिकार तहत प्राप्त एक जानकारी के अनुसार, राष्ट्रपति और प्रधानमंत्री को “नियुक्त” करने वाली “सुप्रीम कमाण्डर”, तथा देश के भावी युवा(?) प्रधानमंत्री, इस मोर्चे पर बेहद फ़िसड्डी साबित हुए हैं। 15वीं लोकसभा की अब तक कुल 183 बैठकें हुई हैं, जिसमें सोनिया की उपस्थिति रही 77 दिन (42%), जबकि राहुल बाबा 80 दिन (43%) उपस्थित रहे (मेनका गाँधी की उपस्थिति 129 दिन एवं वरुण की उपस्थिति 118 दिन रही)। इस मामले में सोनिया जी को थोड़ी छूट दी जा सकती है, क्योंकि संसद के पूरे मानसून सत्र में वे अपनी “रहस्यमयी” बीमारी की वजह से नहीं आईं। इसी प्रकार संसद में प्रश्न पूछने के मामले में रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार वरुण गाँधी ने 15वीं संसद में अब तक कुल 89 प्रश्न पूछे हैं और मेनका गाँधी ने 137 प्रश्न पूछे हैं, जबकि दूसरी ओर संसद के लगातार तीन सत्रों में “मम्मी-बेटू” की जोड़ी ने एक भी सवाल नहीं पूछा (क्योंकि शायद उन्हें संसद में सवाल पूछने की जरुरत ही नहीं है, उनके गुलाम उन्हें उनके घर जाकर “रिपोर्ट” देते हैं)। जहाँ तक बहस में भाग लेने का सवाल है, मेनका गाँधी ने कुल 12 बार बहस में हिस्सा लिया और वरुण गाँधी ने 2 बार, वहीं सोनिया गाँधी ने किसी भी बहस में हिस्सा नहीं लिया, तथा “अमूल बेबी” ने सिर्फ़ एक बार (अण्णा हजारे के वाले मसले पर) चार पेज का “लिखा हुआ” भाषण पढ़ा। सांसदों के कामों को आँकने में सांसद निधि एक महत्वपूर्ण घटक होता है। इस निधि को सांसद अपने क्षेत्र में स्वविवेक से सड़क, पुल अथवा अस्पताल की सुविधाओं पर खर्च कर सकते हैं। जून 2009 से अगस्त 2011 तक प्रत्येक सांसद को 9 करोड़ की सांसद निधि आवंटित की गई। इसमें से सोनिया गाँधी ने अब तक सिर्फ़ 1.94 करोड़ (21%) एवं राहुल बाबा ने 0.18 करोड़ (मात्र 3%) पैसे का ही उपयोग अपने क्षेत्र के विकास हेतु किया है। वहीं मेनका गाँधी ने इस राशि में से 2.25 करोड़ (25%) तथा वरुण ने अपने संसदीय क्षेत्र के लिए 3.17 करोड़ (36%) खर्च कर लिए हैं। ऐसे में सवाल उठना स्वाभाविक है कि जब सत्ताधारी गठबंधन की प्रमुख होने के बावजूद सोनिया-राहुल का व्यवहार संसद के प्रति इतना नकारात्मक और उपेक्षा वाला है तो फ़िर वे आए दिन अन्य राज्य सरकारों को नैतिकता का उपदेश कैसे दे सकते हैं? मनरेगा जैसी ना जाने कितनी योजनाएं हैं, रायबरेली-अमेठी की सड़कों की हालत खस्ता है, फ़िर भी पता नहीं क्यों राहुल बाबा ने यहाँ अपनी निधि का पैसा खर्च क्यों नहीं किया? जबकि मेनका-वरुण का “परफ़ॉर्मेंस” उनके अपने-अपने संसदीय क्षेत्रों में काफ़ी बेहतर है। परन्तु "महारानी" और "युवराज" की जब मर्जी होगी तब वे संसद में आएंगे और इच्छा हुई तो कभीकभार सवाल भी पूछेंगे, हम-आप उनसे इस सम्बन्ध में सवाल करने वाले कौन होते हैं…। जब उन्होंने आज तक सरकारी खर्च पर होने वाली विदेश यात्राओं का हिसाब ही नहीं दिया, तो संसद में उपस्थिति तो बहुत मामूली बात है…। "राजपरिवार" की मर्जी होगी तब जवाब देंगे… संसद की क्या हैसियत है उनके सामने? =========== अब समझ में आया कि आखिर मनमोहन सिंह साहब सूचना के अधिकार कानून की बाँह क्यों मरोड़ना चाहते हैं। कुछ “सिरफ़िरे” लोग सोनिया-राहुल से सम्बन्धित इसी प्रकार की “ऊलजलूल” सूचनाएं माँग-माँगकर, सरकार का टाइम खराब करते हैं, सोनिया का ज़ायका खराब करते हैं और उनके गुलामों का हाजमा खराब करते हैं…---

Muslim ghettos or “Mini pakistan”
in Mumbai provide support to
them.
5) Indian Muslims are so patriot
that ATS of many states say that
they are not getting any support
from Indian Muslim community
and on contrary are facing
harassment from them by using
Human rights violation case

Abusingly Confusing nature of Political Dynamics in India currently [25 Oct, 2011]
Various hot/cold war fronts are open. They talk about same and still talk completely opposite with full confidence. A patriot who wants to be responsibly correct side is confused.
Every side has his own point and reasoning. And unfortunately the reality and rightness is not that direct, obvious and in one's favour. Whom to believe. Strangely I see every one here pretty clear minded! Almost close to any counter view point. I don't know how come they.. when they play a responsible and crucial role of Youth voice!! When did any of us got so mature and knowledgeable? Did we dared to hear all sides before forming perception of correctness. How are we ensuring not being Deaf, Dumb and headless.

सन २००२ से पहले, भारत की आम जनता के लोग केवल गिने चुने राष्ट्रीय त्योहारों को छोड़ सार्वजनिक रूप से राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहरा नहीं सकते थे। एक उद्योगपति, नवीन जिंदल ने, दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय में, इस प्रतिबंध को हटाने के लिए जनहित में एक याचिका दायर की। जिंदल ने जान बूझ कर, झंडा संहिता का उल्लंघन करते हुए अपने कार्यालय की इमारत पर झंडा फहराया। ध्वज को जब्त कर लिया गया और उन पर मुकदमा चलाने की चेतावनी दी गई। जिंदल ने बहस की कि एक नागरिक के रूप में मर्यादा और सम्मान के साथ झंडा फहराना उनका अधिकार है और यह एक तरह से भारत के लिए अपने प्रेम को व्यक्त करने का एक माध्यम है। तदोपरांत केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने, भारतीय झंडा संहिता में २६ जनवरी २००२, को संशोधन किए जिसमें आम जनता को वर्ष के सभी दिनों झंडा फहराने की अनुमति दी गयी और ध्वज की गरिमा, सम्मान की रक्षा करने को कहा गया।
भारतीय संघ में वी.यशवंत शर्मा के मामले में कहा गया कि यह ध्वज संहिता एक क़ानून नहीं है, संहिता के प्रतिबंधों का पालन करना होगा और राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के सम्मान को बनाए रखना होगा। राष्ट्रीय ध्वज को फहराना एक पूर्ण अधिकार नहीं है, पर इस का पालन संविधान के अनुच्छेद ५१-ए के अनुसार करना होगा।
यदि झंडा किसी जुलूस या परेड में अन्य झंडे या झंडों के साथ ले जाया जा रहा है तो, झंडे को जुलूस के दाहीनें ओर या सबसे आगे बीच में रखना चाहिए। झंडा किसी मूर्ति या स्मारक, या पट्टिका के अनावरण के समय एक विशिष्टता को लिए रहता है, पर उसे किसी वस्तु को ढकने के लिए प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए। सम्मान के चिह्न के रूप में इसे किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु को ढंकना नहीं चाहिए। पलटन के रंगों, संगठनात्मक या संस्थागत झंडों को सम्मान के चिह्न रूप में ढका जा सकता है।

Reservation (an FB user) : Conceptually flawed and Loose only provision
I'm against the whole concept of reservation
While listening to some of my friends on reservation, I got the opinion that many of them are against only the percentage or its implementation, but very few question its own principle. We have been so schooled that we are made to think that "Reservation is indispensible". I see that many of my friends find it so hard to rethink the whole concept.
Some of them argue that there must be reservation atleast based on economic levels, sex or physical ability. Even I was tempted by this seemingly convincing argument. After all, I'm highly sentimental and particularly I'm very sympathetic towards physcially diabled people. So, should I make an exception?? After, thinking logically, I feel the answer is NO. There should not be any reservation of any kind. Why?
Suppose, our reservation practice is ideal and we really find a downtrodden person and want to elevate him. Say, we give him a position of a civil engineer. Since, he was not qualified in the first place, he might not be able to compete in the exams. Ok, lets make further concession and allow him to pass, seeing his pitiable conditions. Since, he was not qualified in the first place, he might not get jobs that his peers would get. Again, we make concessions and give him a job and so on. This process continues for life and we made that guy a slave to our whims. He becomes forever dependent on us and all his self-respect is gone. what would be left of him?
But, worse, what if that guy designs a bridge? Since, he never came by meritorious means there is a high probability that his designs will be sub-standard. Thus, there is a greater chance for its collapse and if it collapses what happens? We 'uplifted' one guy and pushed down a whole group of people in the form of accidents and death. For his upliftment, the entire society gets punished!!! This is not an hypothetical story... It happens in everyday INDIA.
Thus, after his admission
1. If he is not allowed to pass - both the instituion and his resources and time are wasted
2. If he is allowed to pass and doesnt get a job, the instituion's recruitment standards get lowered and he is doomed
3. If he gets a job, the entire society is put in a danger
Whatever be the case, his admission is a lose-lose situation for everyone.
If s/he were a doctor, s/he could put so many life's in danger through improper medication and inability to stop diseases. If s/he is a teacher s/he could put the career of so many students in peril. If s/he is a researcher, nation's R&D gets impaired.... Now can you begin to see why we have so many problems around us.
Now, ironically the backward sections of the society are more in danger, because of their lack of choices. The economically forward people have a choice of good doctors, good teachers and sometimes even good road (like the Mumbai-Pune expressway). Or they can even leave the country. But, the poor and downtrodden have to deal with all these sub-standard doctors, engineers, teachers, administrators and their lives are doomed.
Thus, reservation is one of the cause for India's rural in-development. If people really care about the poor, downtrodden and the illiterate, we should work really hard to remove the whole concept of reservation.

It is a fight between civil society demanding unprecedented accountability from the power elites of India - who are refusing to accept this accountability."

Three basic assumptions of the realities of politics : First, the politicians are not in power for serving the people, they are in power to increase and perpetuate their own power.
Second, they will not do anything to pass any law, or take any executive initiative, unless it is clearly to their own benefit (possibly also including their party at times).
Third, every initiative they do take, whether administrative or legislative, will be couched as if it for the benefit of the people, and for the service of the society. Better still if it can be claimed to be for the protection of the weak, the downtrodden, the minorities and the oppressed – whether or not it actually is so.
There is also the fourth unwritten rule. They do not take seriously anyone or any suggestion, no matter how logical, how beneficial to the nation, how ethically correct - If it comes from someone who is not part of the political system, and who is just simply a well meaning citizen. They consider them to be irrelevant, no good do gooders. The fact is they know what to do and how to do it. If they don’t do it, it is because it does not suit their political aim.

"What should be a constructive and trustful dialogue has degenerated into a suicidal conflict. All political parties are either clearly against creating this full accountability, or are at best are ambiguous about imposing it.:
Three basic assumptions of the realities of politics : First, the politicians are not in power for serving the people, they are in power to increase and perpetuate their own power.
Second, they will not do anything to pass any law, or take any executive initiative, unless it is clearly to their own benefit (possibly also including their party at times).
Third, every initiative they do take, whether administrative or legislative, will be couched as if it for the benefit of the people, and for the service of the society. Better still if it can be claimed to be for the protection of the weak, the downtrodden, the minorities and the oppressed – whether or not it actually is so.
There is also the fourth unwritten rule. India-China and Dalai Lama. (comments on Amit B's post.)
Do you think their invasion of Tibet was justify and their issue with Dalai are appropriate? I am sure not...
China is not our friend at its own will. There is no reason at our side. If one decides to be your enemy you cannot make him friend. You cannot force him. Friendship is Bilateral.
Historical Blunders happened with China on our side are primarily because of cruel intentions of China. Secondly we were not able to handle them properly.
Is a single man like Dalai Lama can be really that a big problem to whole China that it force them to attack on country like India which is not only your neighbor but is friendly as well?
I don't buy it. They have the cruel intentions beyond doubt. They were looking for a reason i guess. So that they can confront international community as well as world is much bigger than just India and China. Their activities were malicious. Why will otherwise they attack on Tibet which don't had even an Army of its own? Is that what you do with good people? Now when they are not ready to accept your Dadagiri you will cut their tongue even if it means attacking on Nation India?
In that sense tension b/w Indo-China was was inevitable sooner or later. Its just India held its pride and sovereignty by accepting, victimized by Dadagiri, Dalai Lama.
Also In fact China's activities were malicious. China itself dragged India into it by attacking on peaceful ppl of Tibet leaving no option to Dalai Lama and India without compromising any big thing. China should have consulted India before attacking Tibet.
India facing the heat of Chinese activities is inevitable and unavoidable. You will always be affected by attitude of your neighbor. Thats what has happened with India. Only way to deal now is to be strong and tackle China till infinity until they fix their attitude.

I disagree. I think opposite. Violence is aggressive. You start with good intention. But for that reason it corrupts your mind very soon. Violence may get you a solution but at a very inhuman, rude and immoral cost. And mostly that solution will be short lived. The very definition of violence is the target do not matter to you. It is not any one like you. In that sense a very selfish approach and sefishness is not our way. Violence looses support very soon and hence looses stand soon. And to make things worse, by the time it looses it has already gone irrecoverable. The moment you go Violent you provoke your enemy to react for the sake of mere survival. You loose your credibility in eyes of your enemy and rest. Violent is Jungle concept. Not a civilian.
The Beauty of Gandhian way is it unleashes the opponent. Opponent starts loosing its credibility no matter it watches or tries to suppress you. Its more advanced psychology. It derives the power from the strength of enenmy. It increases you credibility if honestly followed in unprecedented matter. It can even win hearts of enemy. It draws common people support and even some of the enemy sider turn your way. Non Violence admits the reality that you are also like us and hence Violence to you is as heinous as to us. Its a civilian approach. Even if you don't get a solution you defame you opponent in eyes of every one and sow seeds of future generation bouncing back to get the aim. Any normal one can go Violent. But protesting Gandhian is not any one can do.
And History has two very big examples supporting my point. Gandhigiri has worked wonders in those days and also about recent Anti Corruption moment lead by Anna Ji. But look at what happened to Afghanistan (I assume you know). Their saviors (Mujahideens) got corrupt, violence entertained and blood thirsty and became the worst enemy of Afghan people. A nightmare. If Violence becomes a norm its dreadful.
But yes, when wrong doer cross moral limits they have to be dealt in same language after extreme extents.
Point is credibility of opponent should never go up and yours never go down. The way to do is Gandhian. At least at start of it.
And if finally you have to do violence, you have ensure it's not done to satisfy your anger. It has to be disciplined. That much only which suits the cause.
Gandhi Ji not preventing Bhagat Singh needs to understood not confused. Consider, You think Humanity is saved by going right and destroyed by going left. But I think vice versa. In that case both of us if has to oppose ease other. Physically even. Even try to kill each other for a cause, for humanity (though by heart we respect each other a lot but we respect Humanity more than that). In that case none of us is wrong. Both are right. Doing our duty. Praise worthy. Great. But at time two rights things become mutually exclusive. I am sure you will agree that Gandhi Ji and Bhagat Ji both wanted to get us Independence. Both had but exactly opposite way. We must be more responsible and undertake the complexity of these delicate incidents instead of taking a easier option of immature conclusion.
Gandhi Ji was a very honest man beyond doubt. His intentions can never be challenged. They are not challenged even by British, Americans or even Chines. So was Bhagat Ji beyond doubt.
You know why Bhagat Ji was so effective? Even he used non violence in very smart way. His modus-operandi was aggressive but at the core of it was Non Violence.
The strength of Gandhian way is that you are not doing any thing wrong. You are not causing any damage to opponent. Opponent becomes pretty helpless in this case. He can't oppose you. If he reacts he makes biggest mistake specially if he is aggressive. His move immediately becomes immoral and condemnable. He digs his own grave. The more he reacts the more wicked he looks. His strength becomes his weakness.
India is not following any Gandhian policy. That is why India has been at loss so far. What India is doing is not going Gandhian but ignoring the problem. Being coward. Being Gandhian is being very brave not coward.
Pls take a not that Gandhian way is always aggressive. It is peaceful and non violent but that does not mean that it is passive. The passive resistance is most aggressive. For ex 'If someone slaps at one side of your face It never says pass a smile and say thanks. Rather it says put the other side of face forward. The moment you do this you give him a life time experience. If still he slaps put the first one forward leading to his utmost embarrassment. The slapper needs a reason to slap. No one slaps with no reason. You may continue doing that if he still has a reason to slap you. But very soon at a point he is helpless.' So Gandhian way is very aggressive.
That is the mistake India has done. It was never aggressive. In fact in the name of Gandhiwaad it has found a comfortable way of dealing with problem. Good thing is that even this has been effective. Jai Hind.

Drinking Water for rural areas : 378
Ambedkar Park & Kanshi Ram Memorial, Lucknow : 4436
The budget for just 2 of these projects (4436 crores) also exceeded the budget earmarked for ‘Agriculture’ in the entire state. But obviously in a state like Uttar Pradesh, there is little use for agriculture.

Coal Rich ones the most poor ones! Ironic Paradox.
Coal, the black gold, is one of the most valuable thing being the source of Energy. Bihar, Jharkhand, Vidarbh, Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal are the cities where Coal is obtained in India. Poverty, Unemployment, Illiteracy, No Electricity, bad situation of life in villages and Jungles and getting worse is the phenomenon in same states most profound. These are the states where Naxalism is most effective. These are the places where Police and state can't reach to Naxalites owing to common man support. Ideally these states should be one of the most progressive and rich ones in normal circumstances. Now WHAT IS ABNORMAL THERE?

Anna Hazare's 5-point letter to PM (during India against corruption move)
That 71 year old sat for around 98 hrs (in a day there are 24 hrs) without eating for us only. Can we at least read this letter and prove we are not yet dead for all practical purposes?
(It clearly and fact fully draws out the shrewd and cheap measures adapted by Government to oppress an honest move threatening it's ability to cheat the nation. It lists the sheer lies of Ministers to countrymen.)
